In addition to her extensive performing and teaching experience, Dr. Dumlavwalla also maintains a varied and developing research portfolio. Her doctoral research focused on apprentice examiners at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has also performed and/or presented at a number of international conferences and serves on the Teacher Education in Higher Ed and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committees for the National Conference of Keyboard Pedagogy. Dr. Dumlavwalla was also a member of the planning committee for the 2019 Conference of the Music Teachers National Association held in Spokane, Washington and the 2021 National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy (Virtual). She is a member of the editorial boards for the MTNA e-Journal and the Canadian Music Educator. She also serves the pedagogy field as President for the Florida State Music Teachers Association.
